invisalign-300x225At High Peaks Dental, our orthodontic services include help for adults who want to improve their smiles without the hassle (and embarrassment) of traditional metal braces.

We are certified in the Invisalign technique, a nearly invisible tooth realignment system that gently shifts your teeth into the proper position.

Many of our patients are interested in alternatives to braces for crooked teeth. Here, we’ll share the answers to the most frequently asked questions so you can decide if Invisalign is right for your smile.

How does Invisalign work?

The first step is to visit our office for safe digital x-rays, photos and impressions of your teeth. Invisalign will then use this data to create a digital 3-D image of your mouth. Using this technology, we map out a precise treatment plan, including the exact movement of your teeth.

We custom design a series of clear, hard plastic trays, similar to mouthguards. Each aligner tray is designed to move your teeth incrementally towards the desired smile. The average patient needs between 18 and 30 trays, but this varies. We can even show you a virtual representation of how your teeth with move with each stage of treatment.

How long does it take?

Total treatment time varies by patient, but averages 9-15 months.

Am I a good candidate for Invisalign?

Invisalign is a good fit for most patients. It can address many alignment issues, from simple to complex. Your doctor can do an initial consultation to determine if Invisalign is right for you.

How much does Invisalign cost?

Cost depends how much alignment your teeth need and how many aligner trays are needed throughout the treatment. Typically, the cost is similar to the average cost of traditional braces. Many dental insurance plans cover or help with the cost of Invisalign treatment. We can help you determine your coverage and give you an individual cost estimate.

Invisalign makes it easy to straighten your smile. Check out some of the Invisalign success stories and call us today for a consultation.
